There are three types of material used in ROFA arcproof clothing; NOMEX, Proban and Modacryl. All these garments are fireproof and provide excellent protection but have their subtle differences. Proban and NOMEX Clothing are suitable for day to day work, but also high risk tasks such as switching or working with high fault currents. Some are tested at up to 10kA for 1sec, which is the highest level of protection available. Modacryl and some other NOMEX garments are suitable for lower risk tasks, and are tested to only 4kA for 500ms.
