Participants who successfully complete this course will obtain a Statement of Attainment that is recognised within the Australian Qualifications Training Framework.
Course Description
This course has a prerequisite Work in accordance with an issued permit PMAPER200C, which is done in conjunction with Enter Confined Space. We also include Gas test atmospheres PMAOMIR217A in this course.
Work in accordance with an issued permit covers understanding permits, preparing for work within a permit, working within a permit and completing work.
Enter Confined Spaces course is designed as an introduction entry into confined spaces. The program will cover identifying and assessing confined spaces in compliance with current Australian Standards, Regulations, and Codes of Practice. Selecting and using the appropriate work equipment in compliance with manufacturer’s instructions. Participants are introduced to a wide variety of equipment currently on the market. And finally, Controlling confined space entries. This course aims at providing participants with theoretical and practical knowledge on how to secure a safe work environment when working where they are required to work in a confined space.
This course involves practical participation and participants will be assessed on the practical component of the course as part of their overall assessment
At the end of this course there is a written assessment.
48 hours notice is required in writing prior to the cancellation of a course. A 50% cancellation fee will apply to cancellations without this prior notice.

This course is conducted over two (2) days.
The course starts at 8:30am and finishes at 4:30pm unless otherwise arranged by the client.
Recommended For
People involved in occupations in which they could during the course of their employment be required to work in a confined space.
