History of WSG
1989: Mark Haney, the founder and CEO of the SafeGEAR family of businesses, starts setting new standards for training and supply of various safety products.
1997: Heightech safety systems first established .
1997: First accredited height safety training company in WA, operating from a home office, delivering nationally accredited training on site for clients.
1998: Contracted to IFAP to conduct Height Safety and Confined Space Training.
1998: www.Heightech.com.au web site was launched. This web site leads the way as a forum for clients to exchange data freely and communicate shared safety ideas.
1999: Constructed the first accredited Confined Space and Height Training facility in WA.
2003: APPEA member assisted in the development of Safe Work Practices in the Oil and Gas Industry.
2004: Development of various Industrial Access Systems, acknowledged as innovative and unique within the industry.
2006: WorksafeGear, RigsafeGear, MinesafeGear and Gotcha SafeGear were born to promote the diverse product range available.
2006: Selected for various utility panels to advise on Height Safety and Confined Space Standards.
2007: With massive sales growth in rigging, RigsafeGear was launched at it's NEW location in Weatherburn Way. This facility also houses our state of the art service centre.
2007: WorksafeGear launched it's first online web site (Worksafegear.com).
2008: WorksafeGear opens it's first franchise store in Mandurah.
2009: Selected to represent the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the Australian Standard SF 15 committee (Height Safety and Rope Access).
2010: Development of the BHP range of gloves for the Mining and Offshore Industry.
